CASON in HVG economical weekly magazine
Under the title "National companies in the world market of information technology, Small Hungarian software" an article about Cason has been published in the 23 April volume of HVG - a recognized Hungarian weekly economical magazine- as an example among those few software developing firms in the country that not only bestride, but can also influence the world market trends.
“The CASON Engineering Plc has been following its successful strategy since more than a decade, its essence is that they have chosen such field of activity, where they practically do not have competitors, or if they do, they are so few in number that they do not run up against them/drop into them. „The 60-70% of Cason products and services do not have a competitor” – pictures the pleasant market position Mr. Ferenc Szakács, CEO. The company, founded in 1991, has specialized in wide area industrial control of the network of oil- and gas pipelines, electrical- and water utilities, and is offering for these fields complex hardware and software solutions and products.
In Hungary, the system of Cason is used on 95% of the oil pipelines of the Hungarian National Oil company (Mol), and also its solution is used on 80% on the gas pipelines, but the firm has rapidly outgrown the borders of Hungary and first they have expanded in Central and Eastern Europe, then in the Middle-East and in Northern Africa. Nowadays the company is active in more than 22 countries, has just introduced successfully itself in Russia and in Oman, from where they are counting on significant orders. Cason is turning now towards Mexico, Canada and the United States.” /Edina Márton, HVG 23 April 2011. 16th issue, pg 48./
