The DW 918 B is a field unit for creating a bridge between the GSM based GPRS and a connected DW 918 L device.

It's integrated modem with a high level of intelligence provides a stable channel to a central unit like the DW 982 LCX.  It can be used to scalably increase the redundancy in a DIWICON-C system.
