Industrial Intelligent Redundant Communication Field Unit with GPS

The DW 299 E collects and processes measurement data from connected metering devices.

Using it’s built-in serial communication (RS 485) port, the device collects, stores, and processes data which is then transferred to the central system via iGPRS communication. Because the exact time synchronization between the central database and the meter (or the meter reading device) is an essential requirement, GPS time signal reception has been implemented. The connection between the field device and the central server can be made via the embedded Ethernet interface.
